Abstract
Landscape Plant Visual Assessment Research with the Scenic Beauty Estimation Method (SBE) at the Integrated Campus Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta which was held from November 2018 to February 2019. This study aims to identify landscape trees and shrubs and obtain visual values of landscape plants on integrated campuses UMY.
The method used in this study is a survey method with technical implementation through observation, data collection was through photographs and questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using descriptive methods and statistically analyzed to obtain SBE values. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained directly from the field including visual assessment of plants and plant species, while secondary data is supporting data obtained from relevant agencies, previous research and the internet include geographical location, soil type, topography, and climate in Bantul Regency.
The results showed that the most preferred plants were canopy-shaped plants Fan-like, had clear and regular branching, full canopy composition according to the surroundings, regular cropping patterns and appropriate planting combinations. The highest SBE value was found in the solitary shrubs category with a value of 82 and the lowest in the mass tree category with a value of -75.57
