      Abstract
      Background: Drug administration is a primary therapeutic used in diagnosis process and healing patient by nurse. Drug administration right based on seven right principle can be preventif occur of adverse event, near miss, potiential miss and medical erorr. Purpose: This study purpose to determine ability nurses practice of seven right drug administration principle. Methode: The study used descriptive observation design with accidental sampling. Sample of this study were 41 nurses at ward room RSU PKU Muhammadiyah of Bantul. Instrument of this study used quesioner and checklist. Results: The study showed respondent practice drug administration based on right patient as many 36 nurses (87,8%) with good criteria and less right 5 nurses (12,2%). Right doses as many 39 nurses (95,1%) with good criteria and less criteria as many as 2 nurses (4,9%). Right medicine kind with good criteria as many as 36 nurses (87,8%) and less 5 nurses (12,2%). Right time with good criteria as many as 30 nurses (73,2%) and less 11 nurses (26,8%). Right method with good criteria as many as 41 nurses (100%) and right officer with good criteria as many as 41 nurses (100%) and then right documentation with good criteria 14 nurses (34,1%), and less 27 nurses (65,9%). Conclusion: Nurses perform seven right drug administration principle at most with good criteria likes right patient, right drug, right doses, right medicine, right time, right method and officer. Whereas, at least with right criteria likes right documentation. Next study related knowladge nurses in drug administration and patient treatment with different methods
