GAMBARAN TINGKAT STRES PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS KASIHAN 1 BANTUL
Abstract
Background: Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. Management of hypertension is one of the trigger factors for stress levels in hypertensive patients. Severe stress and continues continuously can increase the degree of hypertension.
Objective: This study was to determine the description of stress levels in hypertensive patients at the Kasihan 1 Bantul Health Center in 2019
Research Method: This research is descriptive research using cross-sectional approach. The total population of hypertensive patients at the Kasihan 1 Health Center in Bantul is 253 people. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research instrument in the form of the Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10).
Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents were based on female sex (65.3%), age 56-65 years (36.1%), elementary education (44.4%), employment of housewives (41.7%), pressure systolic blood 140-159 mmHg (61.1%), blood pressure diastole 90-99 mmHg (56.9%), duration of hypertension 1-5 years (43.1%), 1 type of treatment (66.7%), stress is caused by social (44.4%) and stress levels are in the moderate category (76.4%).
Conclusion: The majority of hypertensive patients in Kasihan 1 Bantul puskesmas are in the moderate stress category. Hypertension patients are expected to be able to control stress events well, so that it does not cause severe stress which results in an increase in the degree of hypertension and leads to the occurrence of complications
