FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEPATUHAN PENGOBATAN ANTIRETROVIRAL PADA ORANG DENGAN HIV/AIDS DI YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: The success of the antiretroviral treatment regimen is determined by the
high compliance of PLWHA. Compliance with people living with HIV in undergoing an
antiretroviral treatment regimen can be influenced by various factors. At LSM Victory
Plus Yogyakarta from 3908 PLHIV who underwent therapy, 583 PLWHA did not comply
with the treatment. Objective: to analyze factors that influence adherence to antiretroviral
treatment in people with HIV / AIDS in Yogyakarta. Method: This study used a
qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The study respondents were 7
people, the sampling technique was purposive sampling with the criteria that all
participants were undergoing treatment and adhering to antiretroviral treatment. Data
collection by means of in-depth interviews assisted with instruments in the form of
interview guides containing open questions, field notes. Analysis of research data using 7
steps Collaizi. Results: There were 9 themes related to factors that influence adherence to
antiretroviral treatment in PLWHA in Yogyakarta, namely; openness of patient status to
ARV treatment, family support for ARV treatment, peer support for antiretroviral
treatment, discriminatory behavior against antiretroviral treatment, feelings during
undergoing antiretroviral treatment regimens, knowledge regarding antiretroviral
treatment regimens, participant perceptions of antiretroviral drugs, perceptions of beliefs
and beliefs in regimens therapy, and easy access to services for participant treatment
regimens. Conclusion: ODHA's self-disclosure regarding status influences PLWHA to
adhere to treatment, discrimination affect ODHA adherence in treatment, level of
boredom about treatment affect ODHA adherence to treatment, knowledge of PLWHA
regarding ARV treatment adheres to medication, perceptions of PLHIV about the benefits
of ARVs influence ODHA to comply treatment and then the perception of PLWHA
about the side effects of ARV affect the compliance of PLWHA in treatment, perceptions
of beliefs and beliefs of ODHA related to treatment affect PLWHA to adhere to
treatment, ease of access to services affects PLWHA to adhere to treatment, family
support factors influence ODHA to adhere to treatment, peer support affects PLWHA for
treatment.
