PENGARUH MASA KERJA DOKTER UGD TERHADAP KELENGKAPAN PEMERIKSAAN FISIK PASIEN ANAK INFEKSI DENGUE DI UGD RSUD KOTA YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: Indonesia is the country with the highest cases of dengue infection in Southeast Asia. In General Hospital at Yogyakarta City dengue infection is the highest case of hospitalization. The diagnosis of dengue infection is based on anamnesis, physical examination, and investigation. For this reason, the ability of doctors to diagnose correctly is needed.
The Aim: Evaluate the physical examination of children with dengue infection in the emergency room and find out the influence of the doctor's working period on the completeness of the physical examination.
Method: The type of research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The research subjects are 10 doctors in General Hospital at Yogyakarta City with a work period of less than 1 year and more than 1 year. The study was conducted on the medical record data of pediatric patients with dengue infection from November 2017 to April 2018, assessed by using a checklist.
Results: The study involved 10 doctors and 156 medical records, from all cases, none of whom were examined for rumple leed. The chi square test showed a significant effect on examination: hepatomegaly (p=0.001), ascites (p=0.05), palpebral edema (p=0.015), epistaxis (p=0.026), foot pulse (p=0.018) and capillary refill time (p=0.001). The effect of work period on the average physical examination items was tested by independent t-test. Doctors with work period of more than 1 year examine more complete than a doctor with a work period of less than 1 year, ie 62.29% compared to 59.47% (p=0.128).
Conclusion: The doctor's working period does not significantly influence the completeness of physical examination of pediatric patients with dengue infection, doctors with more than 1 year working period do a more complete physical examination
