HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DENGAN ANGKA KEJADIAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DI DAERAH ENDEMIS KOTA DAN DESA
Abstract
Background: The dengue virus belonging to the Arthropod - Borne Virus, the
genus Flavivirus and the family Flaviviridae is the cause of Dengue Hemorrhagic
Fever (DHF). Transmisson of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever caused by Aedes
mosquito bite, especially Aedes Aegypti or Aedes Albopticus. Dengue
Hemorrhagic Fever still be one of problem in Kelurahan Wirobrajan and
Sumberagung village. There is one factor that affect the incident of Dengue
Hemorrhagic Fever, that is knowledge of society about Dengue Hemorrhagic
Fever. Behavioural characteristics between City Community and Villagers are
different, where City Community more individual and independent while Villagers
have habit of working together. The purpose of this study to know correlation of
knowledge about Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever toward incident of Dengue
Hemorrhagic Fever at Endemic City Wirobrajan and Endemic Village
Sumberagung.
Method: The type of research in this study was non experimental with analytic
observational research design using cross sectional approach, with cluster
sampling technique with a total sample of 777 respondens. The instrument used is
questionnaire about knowledge of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Test analysis
using sperman test.
Result: The results of this study found (p = 0,005) for people in Sumberagung
Village and (p = 0,000) for people in Wirobrajan. This shows that there is
correlation of knowledge about Dengue Hemorrhagic fever toward incident of
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever at Endemic City Wirobrajan and Endemic Village
Sumberagung.
Conclution: there is correlation of knowledge about Dengue Hemorrhagic fever
toward incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever at Endemic City Wirobrajan and
Endemic Village Sumberagung.
