| dc.description | Selama lebih dari 40 tahun Taliban telah menguasai Afghanistan. Taliban membuat peraturan – peraturan yang berlaku di Afghanistan dengan menggunakan syariat Islam. Peraturan – peraturan yang berlaku salah satunya pembatasan terhadap aktivitas untuk perempuan Afghanistan. Peraturan yang berlaku salah satunya penggunaan burqa untuk perempuan muslim Afghanistan. Pada film animasi The Breadwinner memunculkan sebuah cerita yang berdasarkan peristiwa yang terjadi di Afghanistan. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan metode semiotika dari Roland Barthes untuk menganalisis film animasi karya Nora Twomey. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui representasi tentang perempuan Afghanistan pada potongan adegan film animasi The Breadwinner. Potongan gambar tersebut akan menghasilkan mitos yang terjadi di Afghanistan sesungguhnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perempuan muslim Afghanistan dianggap lemah dan tidak bisa melakukan apa – apa karena terbelenggu oleh peraturan yang dibuat oleh Taliban. Akan tetapi perempuan Afghanistan saat ini ingin mendapatkan kebebasan untu terbebas dari peraturan Taliban, mereka memiliki kekuatan untuk melawan pasukan Taliban atau budaya patriaki di Afghanistan. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | For more than 40 years the Taliban have taken control of Afghanistan. The Taliban make regulations that apply in Afghanistan by using Islamic law. The applicable regulations are one of the restrictions on activities for Afghan women. One of the regulations that applies is the use of burqas for Afghan Muslim women. In the animated film The Breadwinner, a story is based on events that took place in Afghanistan. This research uses qualitative with semiotic method from Roland Barthes to analyze the animated film by Nora Twomey. The purpose of this study is to find out representations about Afghan women in the scenes of the animated film The Breadwinner. This piece of picture will produce a myth that happened in real Afghanistan. The results of this study show that Afghan Muslim women are considered weak and cannot do anything because they are bound by the regulations made by the Taliban. But Afghan women today want to get freedom to be free from Taliban rule, they have the power to fight Taliban or patriarchal forces in Afghanistan. | en_US |
