INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT STRATEGY ON IMPROVING THE SECURITY OF MIGRANT WORKERS IN MALAYSIA
Abstract
Indonesia's dynamic socio-economic conditions make the
workforce migrate to Malaysia, a neighboring cognate country that
has a long history and many similarities in terms of culture, race, or
language. But, the low level of Indonesian migrant education and the
complicated procedural departure, as well as the lack of
implementation of government regulations, make many workers
choose to migrate illegally even though have a high-risk impact and
it makes the problem of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia still
unresolved and very complex.
