HUBUNGAN GAMBARAN ULTRASONOGRAFI DENGAN TEMUAN HASIL OPERASI PADA PASIEN SUSPEK APENDISITIS AKUT
Abstract
Background : Appendicitis is an inflammation that occurs in the mucosal layer of the vermivormis appendix, which is the most common case of acute abdomen that requires emergency surgery. Examination needed to diagnose Appendicitis is history of the patient, physical examination and supporting examination in the form of laboratory tests and imaging devices. Ultrasonography is the most commonly used imaging tool to support the diagnosis of appendicitis. Appendectomy is a curative effort that can be performed on appendicitis patients, with purpose to minimizing the occurrence of complications such as perforation. Unfortunately after surgery, not all patients were positive for Appendicitis.
Objective : To find out how far the relationship between ultrasound images as a diagnostic tool in establishing cases of Appendicitis in patients with clinical Acute Appendicitis on the results of appendectomy.
Method : This study is a cross-sectional study with retrospective data collection from medical records. This research at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital during August 2017 until November 2018. 75 samples were obtained that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data then analyzed using SPSS 16.0 program.
Result : The results of this study is that the Ultrasonographic diagnosis criteria for Appendicitis most commonly found are lumen diameter >6mm (65 samples). Diagnosis criteria Appendicitis based on the most common surgical results is prominent blood vessels and proliferation (50 sample). There is a significant relationship between ultrasound images with findings from surgery in patients with suspected Acute Appendicitis, with the strength of the relationship is weak
Conclusion : There is a weak relationship between ultrasonography and surgical findings in patients with suspected acute appendicitis.
