HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DAN MASA KERJA PETUGAS KESEHATAN DENGAN KEPATUHAN PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI (APD) DI PUSKESMAS MARGOYOSO II
Abstract
Background: Each year, nosocomial infection is increasing from 1% in Europe and America to more than 40% in Asia. Given the fact, it is necessary to further encourage prevention acts by optimizing the usage of PPE for medical staffs. This research is aiming to find the correlation between the knowledge and years of service of medical staffs and the obedience of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage at Public health.
Research Method: This research using cross sectional design. The subject of this research is (n=46) chosen by total sampling technique. Instruments used within this research include questionnaire and observation. This research is using descriptive statistic test and chi square test.
Result and Findings: This research shows that in majority, health offices are having good knowledge n=46 (74.3%), long years of services n=24 (68.8%), and short n=11 (31.4%), docile obedience n=23 (65.7%). This research also shows that there is a significant correlation between the knowledge and the obedience (p value 0.018) and between years of service and obedience (p value 0.013).
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation (p value 0.018) between the knowledge and the obedience (p value 0.013) and thus between years of service and the obedience of PPE usage of medical staffs at Public health.
