PERILAKU DAYA REDAMAN BETON MENGGUNAKAN SERUTAN KARET BAN BEKAS SEBAGAI CAMPURAN AGREGAT HALUS PADA BETON
Abstract
Indonesia is a country that often has earthquakes caused by active faults and is in the Pacific Ring of Fire. This is why researchers must continue to innovate in building structures such as making concrete using waste materials that can reduce vibrations in building construction. This research was conducted with an experimental method of concrete specimens and beams which had been released 28 days to ask for the strength of the press and the damping coefficient of the mixture of shaved rubber tires. The results of the analysis of the compressive strength values of the concrete, the damping ratio, and the average percentage of the damping coefficient. The results of this study indicate that the value of the decrease in test specimens occurs with increasing mixture of used rubber shavings with variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. For the damping coefficient of concrete shows more used rubber mixed tires there is an increase in the damping coefficient, this is due to an increase in the coefficient between shaved rubber tires, sand, gravel and cement in the concrete mixture. This can be seen through visual observation, as shown by the higher density of normal beams compared to beams containing shaved rubber tires, as a result of the low adhesion between the shaved rubber tires with sand and cement.
