ANALISIS POTENSI PADA SALURAN IRIGASI UNTUK TEKNOLOGI PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA MIKROHIDRO DI NGADIROJO, SECANG, KAB. MAGELANG, PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH
Abstract
One of the new renewable energy that can be utilized in Indonesia is
abundant water resources. By using PLTMH technology (Microhydro power
Plant) We can utilize the energy of the water flow to be used as a hydroelectric
power plant.
This research analyzes how potential on irrigation channels in Ngadirojo,
Secang, Kab. Magelang, Central Java province. By seeking the discharge of water
from the irrigation tract and also the high falling water we can find out what is the
potential power of the irrigation tract. After that we have to find a suitable turbine
for this hydropower plant in order to produce electrical energy as efficiently as
possible. After that search for the output power that can be generated from the
generator.
The power that can be produced from the irrigation channel water flow of
194.922 kW. While the power to be produced after the turbine selection of
155.9376 kW. And for the output power of the generator is 133.3266 kW. From
the calculation of output power of the generator is 133.3266 kW, while for
classification of power plant Microhydro power capacity 5 kW – 100 kW.
Therefore, research on the irrigation tract is not categorized as Microhydro power
plant but this is categorized as Minihydro power plant whose capacity is from 100
kW – 1 MW.
