EVALUASI PROGRAM PEMBELAJARAN TAHSĪN AL-QUR’AN DI MADRASAH MU’ALLIMAAT MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
This research aims to evaluate Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning program in Madrasah Mu'allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta becoming one of the core competencies as the graduates of Madrasah Mu'allimaat. The research type was expose facto evaluation using mixed method (quantitative and qualitative) approach and CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation theory. The research setting was Madrasah Mu'allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta located in Suronatan NG II/ 653 Notoprajan, Ngampilan Subdistrict, Yogyakarta. The research subject was all parties involved in the implementation of Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning program covering educators, students, madrasah committee, and other related parties. The data was collected from the methods of observation, interviews, documentation, and test which then were analyzed using qualitative analysis (reduction, display, and conclusion drawing) and quantitative (statistics). The research results show that (1) the context evaluation shows that the school's support on the Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning program is still poor due to the lack of control on teachers and administrators; (2) the input evaluation show that the initial ability of the students are identified as Al-Qur'an recitation placement test has been performed. If seen from the applicable rules aspect, there is no rule about it. However, it simply confirms that Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning program is one of the requirements for graduation; (3) process evaluation shows that the learning activities are considered poor as they are not run as the schedule planned. In the aspect of learning method use and media used, these aspects are considered less effective due to the inadequate time allocation; (4) product evaluation shows that there are 19% of Grade VII students have achieved the target while 81% of the studentz have not achieved the target of tahsin Al-Qur'an materials in the end of the semester so that they have to join the remedial class for tahsin Al-Qur'an. Therefore, the Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning program for Grade VII students in Madrasah Mu'allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta has not been successful yet.
