PENGARUH KEPRIBADIAN GURU TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 5 YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
The research consists of two variables namely teacher’s personality (X) and students’ learning motivation (Y). The research is a field research using quantitative method and using random sampling. The data were collected through Likert Scale model questionnaire. The data were analysed descriptively using linear regression and SPSS 22 for Windows.
The research result indicates that the personality of SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta teachers is very good and the learning motivation of SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta students is very high. Teacher’s personality affects the learning motivation of SMA Muhammadiyah 5 students significantly. This is proven by Correlation Test Result that results in the significant value of < 0.05. Meanwhile, Linear Regression Test results in R Square of 0.201 for teacher’s personality toward students’ learning motivation. Therefore, the effect of teacher’s personality toward grade XI students’ learning motivation is as much as 4%. The result is obtained from 0.040 x 100%. The effect from other factor is 96% calculated from 100% - 4%. In order to learn about the equity of Regression line, coefficients table needs to be observed.
