This study aims to determine the differences in the Republika newspaper framing before and after the determination of Erik Thohir as Chairman of the Jokowi - Ma'ruf Winning Team in the 2019 Presidential Election on the differences in writing news about ijtima 'Ulama I and II edition conducted by the GNPF (GerakanNasionalPengawal Fatwa) in Republika newspaper from July to October 2018. This study uses a qualitative method with the theory of framing analysis to conclude the news content in the Republika Newspaper. The results show that the amount of news released by Republika regarding Ijtima ’Ulama I is more than the Ijtima’ Ulama II. There are only 2 stories written related to Ijtima ’Ulama II. The use of narratives, sources, and news placements is also different. Thus, the appointment of Erick Thohir as chairman of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin National Campaign Team had an influence on the news reported out by Republika in elaborating Ijtima ’Ulama by the GNPF Ulama.
