dc.descriptionThis study attempts to analyze persuasive communication which exercised by male family planning motivators to their prospective acceptors in order to increase the users of vasectomy in Bantul Regency. The background of research is due to lack of knowledge possessed by society about vasectomy. All this time, the application of contraception is charged to a woman, whereas family planning is a responsibility for a husband and wife. The aim of this research is to describe persuasive communication, which have been exercised by male family planning motivators to their prospective acceptors to be the user of vasectomy, and describe the responds from the candidate of vasectomy acceptors about the communication exercised by the motivators. This research’s categorized as a descriptive qualitative research, using interview as an approach to collect the data, population taken in this research include three family planning motivators and the acceptors spread throughout bantul city. The conclusion of this research shows that communications exercised by male family planning motivators dominated by face-to-face meetings with relax ambience and tend to use reciprocity and integration communication technique. The main obstacle motivators have is the prohibition from a wife of prospective acceptors to undergo vasectomy.en_US
