| dc.description | Penelitian ini menganalisis representasi identitas gender dalam vlog Jovi Adhiguna Hunter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah representasi identitas gender yang ditampilkan seorang vlogger Jovi Adhiguna Hunter dalam vlog yang diunggah melalui YouTube. Teori yang digunakan sebagai kerangka teori dalam penelitian ini adalah identitas gender, representasi dalam media sosial dan semiotika: membaca tanda dalam media. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode semiotik dengan teknik analisis data yaitu semiotika John Fiske yang mengacu pada tiga level, yaitu level realitas, level representasi dan level ideologi.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Jovi Adhiguna Hunter mencoba merekonstruksi kembali ideologi gender yang dipahami oleh sebagian besar masyarakat sebatas maskulin dan feminin. Identitas gender yang direpresentasikan sangat cair, tidak tetap, tidak stabil dan dapat berubah sesuai dengan kondisi dan waktu tertentu. Selain itu, identitas gender juga tidak selalu sama dengan ekspresi gender. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This study analyzes the representation of gender identities in the vlog of Jovi Adhiguna Hunter. This study aims to examine the representation of alternative gender identities presented by a vlogger named Jovi Adhiguna Hunter in a vlog uploaded via YouTube. The theory used as a theoretical framework in this study is gender identity, representation in social media and semiotics: reading signs in the media. The research method used in this study is the semiotic method with data analysis techniques namely semiotics John Fiske which refers to three levels, that is level of reality, level of representation and level of ideology.
The results of this study indicate that Jovi Adhiguna Hunter tries to reconstruct the gender ideology that is understood by most people as limited to masculine and feminine. Gender identity that is represented is very fluid, not fixed, unstable and can change according to certain conditions and times.
