PENERIMAAN MAHASISWA FISIPOL UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA ATAS SARKASME POLITIK AKUN INSTAGRAM @NURHADI_ALDO
Abstract
The presence of new media containing information content to entertainment creates new media for creative content creators on social media Instagram. The @nurhadi_aldo Instagram account is made by people with different background. Nurhadi Aldo's "Dildo" Instagram account posted for the first time on December 24, 2018, on Instagram which contains a lot of satires and moral messages for the Indonesian government using the figure of a masseur from Kudus, Nurhadi as presidential candidate and Aldo as vice president in which Aldo is fictional figure merging between two faces of politicians. Amid of the election campaign of presidential candidates, this "Dildo" account is visited by political participants because of its humor. This research aimed to describe sarcastic sentences caption in the posted picture on the Instagram account "Dildo". In addition, this study also discussed student acceptance, interpretation and meaning of sarcastic content on the Instagram account "Dildo". This study used Stuart Hall's acceptance study with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews with students taken by Campus Internal Organizations such as IMM and BEM at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. Furthermore, the result showed that majority of informants are dominant hegemonic which shows that the informants understand and accept each sarcastic sentence posted on the Instagram account "Dildo". Some informants are also in negotiated positions and oppositional positions depend on the sarcastic sentences posted. Thus, from the results obtained, the different interpretation of the informants is influenced by the background and context that influence them.
