      Abstract
In the 21st century, China debt-trap is an issue of contemporary international relations right when 'Rising China' became the Centre of attention of the world. In recent years, China has emerged as a major economic power, making China rise which is driven by China's economic expansion strategies. China's expansion is not in the form of conventional expansion means that China not only does trades, invests but China also does debt-trap diplomacy. The term Chinese debt-trap refers to „Debt Diplomacy‟ (under the framework of economic diplomacy) refers to inventory and lending from the lender countries to the borrower countries, which either intentionally or not, the borrower countries will be trapped in debt. Therefore, it not only benefits China economically, but also politically, for example encouraging China to improve the Chinese dream and realise the initiation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project. This thesis described the results of assistance in the form of China's investment and loans lending that had changed and transformed into a debt-trap in the African region, with case studies, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Djibouti. The writer analysed the strength of these actors with the concept of structural power while at the same time demonstrating the mechanism of a debt-trap formed by the interaction of China's power with Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Cameroon and Djibouti. Debt-trap as a component of business concept and economic expansion itself would be used by the writer to determine the consequences that would occur, especially for the borrowers who were more disadvantaged. Debt-trap was a strategy carried out by China considering that on the one hand Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Cameroon and Djibouti still need help.
