This thesis describes the efforts of the women's movement in Indonesia Institut KAPAL Perempuan in combating the actions of gender inequity and efforts to protecting women's human rights. Human rights are basically one of the basic rights that every individual has as a human being regardless of the differences between men or women. However, often women get different treatment related to human rights. Giving different treatment to men and women regarding human rights is discrimination. The discrimination is one of the global issue that fight by every country. Therefore, the Institut KAPAL Perempuan fight to deal the discrimination by conducting the advocacy. The process of advocasies start from givinng critical education, women's schools, and social protection programs provided by the government. In this case, the author explains the efforts of the Institut KAPAL Perempuan to realize women who can solve discrimination problems independently without having to wait for help from other parties. Furthermore, the data on this research is secondary data from books, website, and other sources. The author, by conducting this study, is also conducted an interview with the Institut KAPAL Perempuan directly.
