dc.descriptionThe Aim of this study is to find out the reasons of Australian Government keeping the Operation Sovereign Border (OSB) as their Policy. The method used in the research is analytical descriptive method and historical method of analysis. This research shows the Pro results of the policy, namely the reason Australia forms Australia's policy in the form of Pacific Solution and the Australian Government Operation Sovereign Borders (OSB) in seeing no more asylum seekers coming to their territory. as an illegal act and synonymous with crime. The Australian Government has from the beginning identified asylum seekers coming to Australia by boat as illegal and deliberately violating the sovereignty of Australia. The contra of the policy is in the form of the Impact of Australian Policy in the Form of Operation Sovereign Border (OSB) on Operation Sovereign Borders (OSB) Immigrants The Australian action is a violation of human rights for violating provisions regarding the right to freedom of movement and the right to seek regulated asylum in Article 13 and 14 of the Universal Declaration, the right not to get torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment is provided for in Article 7 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICCPR), as well as the right not to be expelled or returned (non refoulement) to countries where there is a danger of the threat of torture stipulated in Article 33 of the 1951 Convention and Article 3 of the Convention against Torture (CAT).en_US
