STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI DINAS PENGENDALIAN PENDUDUK DAN KELUARGA BERENCANA (DPPKB) KOTA YOGYAKARTA DALAM MENSOSIALISASIKAN PROGRAM VASEKTOMI PADA TAHUN 2018
Abstract
This research mainly discuss about how the communication strategy of DPPKB Kota Yogyakarta socializes the program of vasectomy in Yogyakarta City. Yet unsupported use of vasectomy as a contraceptive program is because of the social environment, culture, society and family are still considered male participation has not been or is not important, knowledge and awareness of men and their families in family planning still low. The purpose of this program are describe communication strategy Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana (DPPKB) Yogyakarta City to socialize vasectomy program In Yogyakarta City. The research uses the descriptive method. Collecting data technique is done by interactive analysis. Data was collected by interviews and documentation. The technique of data validity is done by data triangulation and source triangulation technique. Data analysis techniques in this study using interactive analysis Miles and Huberman model which starts from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research result indicates that the Family Planning Agency of Yogyakarta City has performed several steps in formulating the communication strategy of the vasectomy family planning program counseling, starting from determining the communication message objective, recognizing the public/target, determining the communicators, arranging the messages, selecting the communication channels, carrying out the evaluation. Analysis result of planning, implementation, and evaluation of program vasectomy have been implemented well by DPPKB Yogyakarta Citi, but still encountered obstacles in informs on vasectomy program, including like lack of the media socialization. Media is use to lack fot rhis vasectomy program, so to much society didn’t know about this program.
