PENERAPAN TEKNIK DRAMA DENGAN MEDIA BONEKA TANGAN DALAM MATA KULIAH CHUKYU KAIWA
Abstract
This research entitled the implementation of drama method with hand puppet media in the Chukyu Kaiwa class. This study aims to determine the application of drama method with hand puppet media, student responses and teacher responses on puppet media drama method in the Chukyu Kaiwa class at Japanese Language Education Department Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University Academic Year 2018/2019. The research method in this study is descriptive method with a qualitative approach using data collection techniques in the form of observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The subjects in the study were lecturers and 2nd year students of the Japanese Language Education Department Academic Year 2018/2019 with a total of 44 students. Furthermore, the object of this study is implementation drama method with hand puppet media in Chukyu Kaiwa class.
Based on the results of data analysis from observations, implementation of drama method with hand puppet media have three stages, namely: planning stage, drama appearance, and evaluation. In addition the results of interview, the teacher argue that using drama method with hand puppet media can motivate students, increase self-confidence, and improve social skills. These statements supported by questionnaire data results that using drama method with hand puppet media can motivate students, increase self-confidence, and can improve the ability to socialize.
