KURSI RODA ELEKTRIK DENGAN KONTROL ACCELEROMETER
Abstract
A wheelchair is a patient's walker to be able to move from one place to another place, used in patients who experience a decrease in muscle strength or people with disabilities in the motor system so that they experience a disruption in balance. The wheelchair that is in great demand by the public is an electric wheelchair so that patients do not bother other people to help push a wheelchair. Electric wheelchair control research conducted by the writer uses the output sinyal from the Accelerometer ADXL335 sensor which is connected to the Arduino Minimum System. When the patient's head moves to one side (nodding, looking up or tilting left and right) the Accelerometer ADXL335 sensor will read the process in the Arduino Minimum System, so the Arduino Minimum System will provide voltage to the H-Bridge relay Driver to drive the DC motor so that the wheelchair can move forward, backward or left and right. The wheelchair has a safety system using Ultrasound behind the patient. The results of the electric wheelchair testing have an average speed of 2.3 Km/hour with a patient weight of 50-60kg and the test of execution of orders is carried out 25 times and is advanced 88%, turn right 84%, turn left 88%, and back 92%. The duration of using an electric wheelchair is ± 4 hours with a patient weight of 55kg and a battery of 18Ah. Wheelchairs can pass uphill terrain of less than 6˚ high 6cm and long 57cm with a weight of 55kg.
