The purpose of this study are to know what is ikari hyougen’s speech act and how is the function of ikari hyougen’s speech act in Japanase language. Unlike Indonesian, Japanese express their anger in indirect way like sarcasm or involving third person. Japan is one of the countries that has high context culture, which means Japanese do not explicity express what they feel. This research used qualitative descriptive method and the reaserch subject consist of words, phrases, and sentences that contains ikari hyougen in Hanamizuki. To collect the data, reasearcher used observes and noted method. The result of this study is there are 31 ikari hyougen’s speech act that found in Hanamizuki, with the numbers of direct literal speech act are 13 datas, indirect literal speech act are 10 datas, direct nonliteral speech act are 7 datas, and indirect nonliteral speech act is 1 data. Based on its function, consisting asertive are 8 datas, directive are 16 datas, expressive ae 4 data, commisive is 1 data, and declaration are 2 datas.
