Abstract
PCB is a very important component in electronic devices. In PCBs, electronic paths can be made which are made through etching processes. Etching is the process of dissolving or eroding the copper layer that is on the PCB. The problem that often occurs during the etching process is generally the problem of ferric chloride if it is needed by the hand and is not efficient in working time and cannot be left to do other work. To be able to help provide in the etching process on a hobby scale, it is necessary to design an automated PCB solvent. This tool is based on a microcontroller using the Atmega32 microcontroller as a data processor so that this tool works automatically. In this tool there is also an air temperature reading system where the system uses an LM35 temperature sensor that is attached to a heater. The LM35 traffic sensor will provide feedback to the micro needed to provide a request to the triac to request a heater if the temperature below the minimum that has been input previously has been in the presence of an air temperature reading system so that the air temperature can be used and stabilized. In this tool there is also a motor that acts as an actuator when the etching process is running, the motor here helps to drain air which includes iron chloride solution in the hose so that it can produce flow in the container used for the etching process. With the current, there is friction between the completion of ferric chloride and the surface of the PCB that can be copper, which can accelerate the dissolution process of PCB compared to just silencing it in a ferric chloride solution. Based on the tests carried out this tool can shorten the time of a few minutes from the etching process manually.
