STRATEGI ETHIOPIA DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN WILAYAH OGADEN DARI SOMALIA ( 1977 – 1978 )
Abstract
This article aims to understand one of the conflicts that occurred in the African Continent, which was the seizure of the Ogaden Region between Ethiopia and Somalia. This conflict is known as the Ogaden War. In this article the author tells the history of colonialism in the African Continent which will later be interconnected with what happened behind Ethiopia and Somalia in fighting over the Ogaden Region and ending in war. Specifically, this article will reveal how the strategy used by Ethiopia in defending the Ogaden Region from Somalia in 1977 - 1978. In addition to the strategy from Ethiopia, in this article the author also explains what efforts are made by Somalia to realize its ambitions which makes the Ogaden region as part of the State of Somalia. The writing of this article uses a qualitative method supported by secondary data.
