Abstract
National Examination is a test held by the government to measure students' competency achievement in the level of elementary and secondary education unit as a result of the learning process which is in accordance with the Graduate Competency Standards (Standar Kompetensi Lulusan/ SKL). National Examination is considered as a burden by the students and creates anxiety due to some factors like the students worry about the policy of graduate score standards, they are afraid that they are not able to achieve the graduate standards, and they are also afraid of being failed in doing the National Examination along with the consequences they will get because of the failure in the National Examination. The anxiety felt can be a problem because it causes the students difficult to concentrate in preparing the National Examination. Even worse, anxiety may end with suicide like what happenned in Telangana, India. There were 19 students committing suicide because they were underpressured in facing the National Examination (cnnindonesia.com/ 2019).
