PERANCANGAN MESIN EXTRUDER FILAMENT 3D PRINTING
Abstract
Rapid Prototyping is a method for producing components into a real form or 3D based on Computer Aided Design (CAD) as one of the solutions of short life cycle products. 3D printing is a CAD-based technology which is a technological revolution in manufacturing. 3D printing uses basic materials derived from polymers such as ABS and PP. The filament used is classified as special and most of it is obtained through import with high prices. Extruder machine is a filament-producing machine with the principle of melting and changing material from pellet shape. Extruder machines that are available on average have quite large dimensions at high prices. The high price of filament and extruder as a filament-producing machine causes a gap between consumption and production of filament. Laboratory scale extruder design is one method to overcome the high price of filaments and extruder machines available on the market.
The design is carried out using 2018 solidwork software. Machine was designed that has a capacity of 247.22 g / hour, screw rotation of 23.33 Rpm with electric motor power of 0.5 Hp and heater barrel and nozzle power of 150 watts.
The results obtained from the design are extruder machine capacity of 247.22 g / hour, mass flow rate of 0.0058m / s with screw loading of 23.333 Rpm which produces torque of 112,501 N.m. The heat produced by the heater in barrels with 150 watts of power is 34370.85 joules and at the nozzle is 45934.35 joules. So it takes 229.139 seconds to raise the temperature from 25 ° C to 180 ° C in the barrel and at the nozzle for 306.222 seconds to raise the temperature from 25 ° C to 200 ° C. With a heating power of 150 watts, the temperature received by the plastic is 179.427 ° C in the barrel and 199.631 ° C in the nozzle
