PENGARUH SILER RESIN EPOKSI DAN KALSIUM HIDROKSIDA TERHADAP PERLUNAKAN GUTAPERCA DENGAN CAJUPUT OIL PADA GIGI PASCA PERAWATAN SALURAN AKAR
Abstract
Background : One of the causes of failure that often occurs in root canal treatment is root canal filling material that is not hermetic or a inadequate condensation technique. Root canal treatment needs to be treated with removal all guttapercha in the root canal. One technique for removal all guttapercha is chemical with chloroform, an alternative to chloroform, namely cajuput oil. Compressive strength test is one of the tests to determine the level of use of sealer material with guttapecha. Test statistc using Mann Whitney. Method : The method of this research was laboratory experimental with a total of 16 samples divided into 2 groups of samples from acrylic blocks. The first group was obturation with epoxy resin sealer and the second group was obturation with calcium hydroxide sealer. Compressive strength was measured using a Universal Testing Machine with kilogramforce (Kgf) units. Result :The results showed the average compressive strength of epoxy resin at 19.37 Kgf and calcium hydroxide at 9 kgf. The compressive strength results were analyzed using the Mann Whitney statistical test with the test results p = 0.001 which showed a significant effect (p <0.05). Conclusion :This study conclude that there is an effect of guttapercha solubility with epoxy resin and calcium hydroxida which is penetrated by cajuput oil.
