PERBANDINGAN KAYU MANIS DAN KOPI PUTIH TERHADAP PERUBAHAN WARNA RESIN AKRILIK POLIMERISASI DINGIN
Abstract
Background. Acrylic resin is a resin that has exceptional clarity, its color and optical properties remain stable under normal and clinical conditions and it is also quite stable against heat. Cinnamon and white coffee are beverage ingredients that can cause discoloration in resin acrylic.
Research Purposes. Finding out the comparison between of cinnamon and white coffee to discoloration of resin acrylic cold cured.
Types of Research. The type of the research is experimental laboratories with the posttest control group design. The subjects used were a round shape polymerization cold acrylic resin plate with a diameter of 26 mm and a thickness of 2 mm (ISO 1567) which was immersed in cinnamon and white coffee to evaluate the most color-changing resin acrylic material in 2.5 days. The color change test was done with a spectrophotometer, and the data were analyzed using independent sample t-test.
Research Finding. From the test ΔE * ab = [(ΔL * ab) 2 + (ΔL * ab) 2 + (ΔL * ab) 2] 1/2 the average value of chromaticity is found to be the highest color change in soaking with cinnamon which is 7.93368 while the lowest at immersion with white coffee is 5,15632. The results of statistical parametric test showed significant effect.
Conclusion. There is a discoloration of resin acrylic cold cured on immersion with cinnamon and white coffee.
