PENGARUH KEBIASAAN MEROKOK TERHADAP OUTCOME TERAPI PADA PASIEN DENGAN INFEKSI PNEUMONIA DI RUMAH SAKIT RESPIRA YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Cigarette consumption provides a significant role in the incidence of disease in the world and causes most deaths. One of the negative impacts of smoking habits is that it can increase the risk of pneumonia. From the research conducted Sinohara et al. (2015) suggests that patients with quitting smoking have a good prognosis. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of smoking habit on therapeutic outcomes in patients with pneumonia infection.
This study is an observational study with cross sectional study design. The data retrieval on this study was conducted retrospectively. Observations conducted in the group of pneumonia patients who had a history of smoking and pneumonia patients who did not have a history of smoking. The 100 medical record. Data was taken using a total sampling technique at Rumah Sakit Khusus Paru Respira Yogyakarta in September 2018 - February 2019. Therapeutic outcomes are observed in the form of long-care, therapeutic effectiveness, and relapse. The length of hospitalization is analyzed by Mann-Whitney test. Therapeutic efficacy and recurrence are analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results of this study show that long-lasting and relapse has a value of p > 0.05 and the therapeutic efficacy shows the value p < 0.05.
The conclusion of this study is the habit of smoking has no significant on the length of care and relaps. However, smoking habit significantly affects the effectiveness of therapy.
