| dc.description | This research try to describes the global refugee crisis in general and Japan's foreign policy towards the global refugee crisis in particular. Japan as a resettlement country should accept asylum seekers. But Japan has a policy whereby asylum seekers not only apply for asylum but also as immigrant workers. However, Japan only receives very few asylum seekers as immigrant workers each year. On one hand, Japan is experiencing a crisis of shortages of domestic workers.
