PENGARUH APLIKASI PASTA CANGKANG TELUR AYAM NEGERI SELAMA 8 MINGGU TERHADAP GAMBARAN MIKROPOROSITAS EMAIL GIGI
Abstract
Background : Eggshell paste contains about 40% hydroxyapatite which is a compound which is composed of calcium and phosphate. Hydroxyapatite can be dissolved from enamel that called as demineralization that can lead to a lession formation. These ingredients can help the remineralization process.
Objective : The aim of this study was to determine the effect of chicken egg shell paste application for 8 weeks on microporosity images of tooth enamel.
Methods : In this study is laboratory experimental research. This study used five premolar teeth extracted from the oral cavity which had been etched with 37% according to the inclusion criteria. This is obtained from the calculation of Daniel's formula. The data analysis test used is the analysis of images that will be presented in narrative form.
Results : Of this study are the closure of the enamel prism area which can be said that remineralization has occurred after the application of domestic chicken egg shell paste. Changes in enamel structure in the form of re-closure of porosity, enamel prism and roughness after chicken eggshell paste and remineralization process occurred.
