EFEKTIVITAS CAMPURAN DARAH KAMBING DAN ABU SEKAM PADI SEBAGAI SUMBER NITROGEN PADA TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.) VAR. PULUT DI TANAH REGOSOL
Abstract
Goat blood is a waste that has not been widely used in Indonesia. This waste can cause pollution to the environment such as water, soil, air, and can be a source of disease, so it is necessary to do the utilization of goat blood waste. A purpose of this research was to determine the balance of mixture of ZA fertilizer + goat blood and rice husk ash as a source of nitrogen on growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.) Var. Pulut on regosol soil. This research was conducted using a single factor experimental method which was analyzed in a Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD). The treatment tested was a balance between a mixture of ZA + goat blood and rice husk ash as a nitrogen source consisting of 5 treatments and 1 control. The treatments consists of without nitrogen fertilizer (control) (P1), 100% ZA (P2), 25% mixture of goat blood and rice husk ash + 75% ZA (P3), 50% mixture of goat blood and rice husk ash + 50% ZA (P4), 75% mixture of goat's blood and rice husk ash + 25% ZA (P5), and 100% mixture of goat's blood and rice husk ash (P6).
The results of this research releaved that a mixture of goat blood and rice husk ash could be used as a source of nitrogen for maize (Zea mays L.) Var. Pulut on regosol soil. The balance of mixture 25% goat blood and rice husk ash + 75% ZA (P3) could be used as fertilizer to cultivate the maize (Zea mays L.) Var. Pulut with 2,27 tons per hectare.
