This study is intended to provide an overview of regional transportation for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) by
considering the characteristics of various transportation networks, modes, and service attributes. The result of study conducted in Central Kalimantan shows that the transportation attributes influencing the efficiency of transportation system are total travel time, cost, and distance. The analysis results of modelling CPO transportation by using geographic information system (GIS) indicate that inter-modal transportation of road and river networks produce the most efficient generalized cost. Therefore the provisions of adequate ports and access roads from CPO factory to the port are needed to support mobility of CPO in the regional scale.
