| dc.description | Tarekat mengajarkan agar para pengikutnya tidak mengagungkan konglomerat, tidak berdiri menghormat kepada pejabat dan aparat, tidak melalukan pendekatan kepada menteri dan kepala daerah, dan tidak mau menerima hadiah dari penguasa. Akan tetapi, Tarekat Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah Cukir Jombang (Tarekat Cukir) justeru terlibat aktif dalam politik praktis sebagai pendukung Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) dan Bupati. Dalam kasus Pemilihan Bupati (Pilbup) Jombang 2018, Tarekat Cukir melakukan praktik dualisme pilihan politik: di satu sisi, Tarekat Cukir menjadi pendukung kuat PPP, tetapi mereka menolak kandidat yang diusung PPP; di sisi yang lain, Tarekat Cukir justeru mengawal dan mendukung kandidat incumbent diusung Partai Golongan Karya (Golkar). Permasalahannya, bagaimana proses terbentuknya praktik dualisme pilihan politik tersebut, dan faktor apa yang mempengaruhi Tarekat Cukir melakukan praktik dualisme pilihan politik tersebut?. Berdasarkan riset lapangan, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain etnografi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisa dengan teori praksis sosial yang dikembangkan oleh Bourdieu. Riset ini menemukan: pertama, bahwa proses terbentuknya dualisme pilihak politik oleh Tarekat Cukir: 1) mendukung PPP telah menjadi habitus Tarekat Cukir terbentuk melalui proses sosialisasi di internal tarekat; melalui relasi mursyid – murid; 2) menolak kandidat wanita yang dipromosikan PPP terbentuk melalui internalisasi tradisi lingkungan dan doktrin ajaran agama yang cenderung paternalistik, dan kemudian disosialisasikan di internal tarekat. Kedua, faktor yang mempengaruhi Tarekat Cukir melakukan dualisme pilihan politik: 1) mereka memilih PPP karena adanya kewajiban murid patuh kepada mursyid, yang berwasiat agar memilih PPP. Hal ini agar ikatan ruhaniyah murid - mursyid yang merupakan politisi PPP agar tetap terhubung; 2) dalam kasus Pilbup Jombang 2018 mereka menolak kandidat bupati yang diusung PPP, karena dipengaruhi oleh keyakinan bahwa wanita tidak boleh dipilih menjadi pemimpin. Selain itu, kandidat juga tidak memiliki jasa untuk kemajuan Tarekat Cukir; 2) mereka mendukung bupati sebagai kandidat incumbent karena pribadinya yang laki-laki, kuat, amanah, dermawan, dan egaliter. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Tarekat teaches devotees not to glorify conglomerates, not to worship aristocrats and bureaucrats, not to lobby ministers and administrators, and not to accept gift from leaders. But, the tarekat of Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah in Cukir Jombang was actually involved in practical politics as supporter of Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) party and regent. In the case of Jombang regent election in 2018, the tarekat of Cukir made dualism practice in political choice; namely on one hand, the tarekat of Cukir became PPP partisans, but they neglected PPP's candidate of regent. On the other hand, they supported and bolstered the incumbent candidate promoted by Golongan Karya (Golkar) party. The question is, how the process of emergence of the dualism practice in political choice, and what influencing factors to the tarekat of Cukir on practicing dualism in political choice? Based on field research, this reseach uses qualitative approach with ethnographic design. The research data is collected from observation, interviews and documentation, and then analyzed with praxis and social theory developed by Bourdieu. The study results reveal several insights. First, the process of emergence of dualism practice in political choice by Tarekat Cukir: 1) supporting PPP party has become a habitus for the tarekat of Cukir which emerges through internal socialization process in the tarekat of Cukir by mursyid-murid relationship; 2) neglecting female candidate who are promoted by PPP emerges from internalization of environmental traditions and doctrine of religious teachings that tend to be paternalistic, and so, socialized in internal tarekat. Second, the influencing factors to the tarekat of Cukir on dualism practice in political choice; 1) they choose PPP because of the obligation for murid to obey the mursyid who has instructed to choose PPP. By that, the spiritual bond between murid and mursyid remains connected; 2) In Jombang regent election case in 2018, they neglected the candidate who was promoted by the PPP because they have been influenced by thruth beliefs that a female can not be elected as leader. Besides, the candidate also does not have merits for the progress of the tarekat of Cukir; 2) they support the incumbent candidate because he is male, strong, trustworthy, generous, and egalitarian. | en_US |
