NILAI PSIKOLOGI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM NASKAH GURINDAM DUA BELAS GUBAHAN RAJA ALI HAJI
Abstract
Positive response from Malay culture toward Islam made it possible for Islam to become the base of Malay culture and this brought many changes. What had been done by Malay theologians were not much of different from the da’wah concept of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). First, da’wah is rhetorical or tabligh, in terms of delivering message to human kind. Second, the da’wah of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) focused on instilling Islamic values within society’s life. For Malay people, the value given by Islam is high qualified one, the best, the most ideal and basic.
The problem formulation in the research were: (1) moral value in Gurindam Dua Belas. (2) the psychological value of Islamic education in Gurindam Dua Belas. (3) the relevance of Gurindam Dua Belas in Islamic Education. The research used textual study method, presented as the copy manuscript. The content of the script was considered important as seen from the linguistic aspects whose interpretation was presented as meticulous as it could be without any change; just as how the original script was. It was then analyzed to preserve the script’s purity through descriptive qualitative research of content analysis.
The conclusion of the research were: first Gurindam Dua Belas was full of Islamic Education value, was based on Al Qur’an and Hadiths, consisted of religious contents and in general was spiritual and transcendental. Second, the psychological value of Islamic education gave direction, trust, role-model and advice to guide human kind taking the right path blessed by Allah (swt) to lead human toward salvation both in the world and afterworld. Third, the contribution of Gurindam Dua Belas on the psychology of Islamic education were: Islamic-based education, sharia practice-based education, body control-based education, emotional intelligence, role model, compassion-based education, gentle, motivation, environment, agreement, just, and science-based education.
