dc.descriptionThis study aims to discuss the strategy of Islamic values cultivation to the religious practice development and its supporting or inhibiting factors. The study uses a qualitative research approach and carried out at Surya Nusantara Homeschooling Yogyakarta which is one of the Homeschooling Institutions of Non-formal Education. The informants are choosed by purposive techniques. The data collection is done by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation technique. The result of this study indicates that the Islamic values cultivation strategy used by teachers varies, which are exemplary, habituation, mauidzah (advice or instruction), and individual guidance strategies. The development of student religious practice also varies from developing, stagnan, to declining negative development. Furthermore, the supporting factors in Islamic values cultivation process are the willingness of the student to accept and practice, the communication or corperation between teacher and parent or student guardians to are the lack of student selfawareness due to the lack of intensive communication the Islamic, and the troubles in the student family.en_US
