MODEL INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (IPE) BERBASIS ISLAMI DI RUMAH SAKIT PKU MUHAMMADIYAH GAMPING YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) has supported IPE and recommended that it be integrated into care and include it in the educational curriculum to produce the desired graduates, namely graduates of health workers who can collaborate between health professions.
Objective: To explore the Islamic-Based Interprofessional Education (IPE) Model at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital Yogyakarta.
Method: This study is a descriptive qualitative study. Data collection using interviews (questions using google form). Participants were taken by using purposive sampling as many as 23 participants.
Result: There are five themes, namely Islamic educational methods, identification of spiritual care needs, benefits of Islamic interprofessional education (IPE), barriers to Islamic interprofessional education (IPE), supporting factors for Islamic interprofessional education (IPE).
Conclusion: Islamic interprofessional education (IPE) is an Islamic education method in which two or more groups of students or students from various health professions learn together to provide health services that apply Islamic values by identifying spiritual needs for the purpose of achieving quality Islamic health services. The implementation of Islamic interprofessional education (IPE) in the educational curriculum is one way to prepare health workers who can provide services based on Islamic values in meeting the spiritual needs of patients.
