Abstract
The existence of BMT or Baitul Mal Wa Tamwil serves as an answer to the economic problems of middle to low economic class community who have limited access to banking system and are challenged by unhealthy practices of economy that is moneylending practice which worsens the low economic class community. The researcher conducted the research at Pangandaran, West Java and Yogyakarta. The research employed qualitative method and comparative approach.
