      Abstract
The research is aimed at knowing the factors determined the profitability of Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah. The factors used in this research are the third party funds (DPK), purchase financing (Murabahah), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Non Performing Financing (NPF) as independent variable as well as provability measured by Return on Asset (ROA) as dependent variable. The sampling was chosen by performing area sampling using special BPRS in Java Island. Java Island was chosen as the development of BPRS is centralized in this island. The data used is secondary data in the form of complete financial of Bank Indonesia’s website in 2011-2014. The research applied two methods to analyze the data: cluster analysis and logistic regression. The cluster analysis test has shown that there are two clusters from the average of grouped ROA. The first cluster is 7 BPRS with minimum ROA average -5,32 percent and the second cluster is 15 BPRS with minimum ROA 1,83 percent. In addition, the regression test has shown that the third party funds (DPK), purchase financing (Murabahah) and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) have no influence to Return on Asset (ROA). Meanwhile, Non Perfoming Financing (NPF) has negative and significant influence to Return on Asset (ROA) of Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Sharia in 2011-2014.
