HUBUNGAN ANTARA FUNGSI KELUARGA MENURUT NILAI APGAR DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT ANTI TUBERCULOSIS PADA PENDERITA TUBERCULOSIS PARU
Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is still a health problem in Indonesia and in the world as the leading cause of death. The duration of TB treatment makes a lot of TB patients who discontinued treatment or drop out (defauledt). This cases impact with the increase in cases of germ resistance to standard treatment or multidrug-resistant (MDR). Many factors that affect the successful treatment of TB such as family that serves the health monitoring for each of its members. To assess perceptions of family members of a family function by examining satisfaction with family relationships developed assessment instrument called Family APGAR.
Methods: This study uses an analytical observation with cross sectional study design. Large sample studied as many as 56 people. The research instrument to assess family function was used APGAR Smilkstein questionnaires while to assess adherence treatment was using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the Spearman test.
Result: The value of P value = 0,000 which means there is a significant relationship between family function with medication adherence in patients with TB. R = 0.557 which means the relationship family function with anti-tuberculosis medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis have the strength of the correlation was moderate, it is mean that the healthy family functioning in patients with tuberculosis will more closely in taking anti-tuberculosis drugs.
Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between family function according APGAR with medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.
