Abstract
Yellowy white, Greyish Yellow, and Greyish White is a normal teeth colour. The teeth colour is determined by the dentin colour which covers the under seal, thickness of the dentin, thickness of the email, translucency and the pulp colour. this teeth colour can undergo a cooler change or called teeth discolouration. The change in the teeth colour can happen during or after the formation of email and dentin. Most of the colour change happen inside the dentin and relatively hard to be treated externally, but if the intrinsic change is more superficial and evident, it can be whitened externally. Teeth Veneer is a thin coating which is applied to the surface of the teeth and purposed to beautify the arrangement, appearance and teeth colour, also to fill in the gap. The tensile strength test is one of the method to evaluate the adhesion strength of the dentistry material, monitored in area which fractures and removal of the gluing often occur. The place where fracture and removal of the gluing location often happen in an interface area between the teeth structure and the resin adhesive cement.
Aim : To understand the difference of the tensile strength between cement resin and glass ionomer cement in indirect resin composite nano hybrid veneer restoration and to understand which one has the better tensile strength between cement resin and glass ionomer cement.
Method : This study’s method is pure laboratory experimental. Sampel that will be used is 5 post-extracted premolar teeth with Relay X cement material and Glass Ionomer cement type 1. Data analysis will use independent T-Test.
Result : Showing a notable difference between one group and other group or in this study can be assumed that there is a different tensile strength between RelayX and Glass Ionomer cement type 1 in indirect resin composite nano hybrid veneer restoration.
Conclusion : There are difference in the tensile strength between cement resin and glass ionomer cement.
