The impact of teeth loss can cause the changes in anatomical, physiological, psychological and functional. The efforts to overcome these problems can be done with the use of denture. The use of denture continuously for a long time, while are not kept clean can cause the accumulation of plaque. Plaque is a good medium for the growth of microorganisms and it is an important factor in inflammation of the mucosa of the mouth, such as Oral Candidiasis.. Objective. This study aimed to determine the differences in the prevalence of Chronic Erythematous Candidiasis on removable denture users based on gender. Research Method. This type of research is observational analytic using cross sectional design. Samples are removable denture users in Yogyakarta totaling 25 men and 25 women. The study was conducted in November 2015 until January 2016 in Yogyakarta. The instrument of this study is the a set of diagnostic tools and sheet inspection. Result.Statistical analysis using Chi-Square test. The result of this study proves that there is no difference in the prevalence of Chronic Erythematous Candidiasis removable denture users between men and women. Conclusion.The conclusion from this study is there is no difference in the prevalence of Chronic Erythematous Candidiasis. Men and women have the same risk.
