Cataract is the main caused of blindness and visual impairment in this world, therefore cataract surgery become the best solution that usually done by oculist Aim : To find out the most common complications that appear post-cataract surgery with phacoemulsification technique Method : Retrospective analytic view medical records of patients who undergo the cataract surgery with phacoemulsification technique in PKU Muhammadiyah unit 1 Yogyakarta hospital in the period of june 2013-june 2014. Data analysis used descriptive analysis that is statistical procedure to test the generalizability of research result based on one variable. Result : There are more female patients (56,5%) than male patients (43,5%). Found complication of Macular Edema Cistoid in one patient (1,1%) of the total 92 medical records and not found another complication. Conclusion : Cataract surgery using phacoemulsification technique in PKU Muhammadiyah unit 1 Yogyakarta hospital produce post-cataract surgery complication rate of 1,1% of all patients in surgery
