ESTIMASI KANDUNGAN BIOMASSA DAN KARBON TERSIMPAN PADA TEGAKAN SEBAGAI UPAYA MITIGASI PERUBAHAN IKLIM DI TANAMAN HUTAN RAKYAT BUNDER KABUPATEN GUNUNGKIDUL
Abstract
Global warming is one of the issues of the world today. Estimation of
carbon stocks through an assessment of the amount of biomass can be performed
to determine the carbon sequestration by vegetation. Carbon sequestration by
vegetation could be expected to reduce the potential for global warming.
Research by Title Estimation of Biomass and Carbon Content on Tree
Stands For Climate Change Mitigation Efforts have been implemented in
Community Forests of Bunder Gunung Kidul regency from June to September
2015. The research was conducted by measuring the diameter and height of trees
in the sample plot size of 100 x 50 meters totaled 6 plots. The calculation of the
amount of biomass and carbon stored using allometric equation of the
measurement results of diameter and height of trees in the community forest
(moor and yards) Village Jatimulyo, Kec.Jatipuro, Kab. Karanganyar, Central
Java conducted done by BPKH Region XI Java-Madura.
The results of analysis and calculations showed that the carbon stored in
vegetation of Bunder forest amounted to 1,031,581.11 g / ha of total biomass
2,242,567.62 g / hectare and has the potential CO2 uptake by 3,782,464.05
g/hectare. The amount of biomass stored is an overview of the productivity of tree
stands to absorb CO2 through photosynthesis.
