KAJIAN PEMBERIAN KOMPOS LIMBAH TEMBAKAU SEBAGAI PELENGKAP PEMUPUKAN NITROGEN PADA BUDIDAYA TANAMAN TOMAT (Lycopersicum esculentum L.)
Abstract
The purpose this study is to determine the effectiveness of the tobacco plant waste as a source of nitrogen fertilizers in the cultivation of tomato plants and a set dose of organic fertilizer using tobacco plant waste for fertilization substitution on the cultivation of tomato plants.
The study aimed to determine the effectieness of tobacco plant waste as a source of N fertilizer. Experiment as conducted in single factor and arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Treatments were as follows : A (80 kg N urea / hectare + 40 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare) , B (60 kg N urea / hectare + 60 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare), C (40 kg N urea / hectare + 80 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare), D (20 kg N urea / hectare + 100 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare) and E (0 kg N urea / hectare + 120 kg N tobacco waste compost / hectare).
Result showed that treatment E (0 kg N urea / hectare + 120 kg N tobacco waste compost / hectare) gave a higher yield than other treatments on parameters of weight of fruit/ plant, number of fruit/ plant and fruit diameter
