This research aims to: 1) know the effect factors of the paddy field conversion in Mertoyudan, Magelang regency 2) analyze the influence of paddy field conversion to rice production. This research was conducted from January up to Juny 2016 This research was done using survey method with primary and secondary datas collecting. The datas collection were analyzed descriptively and to figure the relation between paddy field conversion and rice production, regression analysis was done. The result showed that socio-economic and government policy were the effect factors of the conversion of paddy field. The paddy field conversion had no significantly effect to planting area, harvesting area decreasing, and rice production.
