Nurses’ in accuracy and incomplience in using the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will result in the risk of having healthcare-associated infection (HAIs) such as HIV/AIDS viruses and Hepatitis. This fact obliges nurses to be accurate and compliance in using the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in hospitals. This research aims to find out the accuracy and compliance in using the nurses’ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the Ar-Royan Wards in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping. This research is a quantitative research by using descriptive observational method. The research samples are 400 nursing actions including the contact possibility of 346 nursing actions and 57 actions using syringe, 3 out of 57 actions using syringe have the contact possibility. The sample collecting technique uses incidental sampling technique. The data analysis uses frequency distribution. The research instrument uses two kinds of observation sheet which are based on the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provision of guidance from the Ministry of Health and the Association for professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. The research result shows that 298 nursing actions (74.5%) use accurate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). As an additional, the indicator of the use of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is washing hands after removing gloves has the highest score in the compliance category that is 316 actions (91.30%). Meanwhile, the indicator of removing gloves before leaving the patient treatment area has the highest score in the incompliance category that is 237 actions (68.5%). Most of the use of the Nurses’ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has been accurate and most of the use of the Personal Protective Equipment (APD) has been compliance. The researcher recommends the next researches to focus on the same topic and pay more attention to the influencing factors.en_US
